Pop Eyes – Eyewear with character
Pop Eyes is from Eben im Pongau, just a few kilometers away from us in Flachau. The idea: eyewear that technically rivals the big brands but doesn't look like everyone else's. That’s why they offer leopard prints, pastel shades, retro shapes, and colors that stand out on the slopes.
For the ski goggles, the magnetic lens exchange system is the focus: sun in the morning, clouds at noon, snowfall in the afternoon – the right lens can be swapped in seconds. For sunglasses, the selection ranges from lifestyle models to sports eyewear with polarized lenses.
The Pop family also includes Pop Head with beanies and headbands, and Pop Wear with apparel – so your outfit matches from head to toe.

Behind the eye-catching design lies solid technology. Here are the most important terms – briefly explained.
8 magnets
The lens is held in place by eight magnets. Take it off, snap on a new lens, and you're done – in just a few seconds and even while wearing gloves.
Cylindrical double lens
Two polycarbonate panes with an insulating air layer in between. Shatterproof, lightweight and significantly less prone to fogging.
Anti-fog & 100% UV
The inside is coated to prevent fogging, and the lens filters out UV radiation completely—important because snow strongly reflects sunlight.
Rahmenloses Design
The frame is kept as slim as possible. The result: an extra-large field of vision upwards, downwards, and to the sides.
3-layer foam & OTG
Multi-layered foam provides pleasant cushioning and a tight seal. The OTG design offers space for many prescription glasses underneath.
Silicone strips & helmet fit
Three silicone strips on the adjustable strap ensure that the goggles do not slip, even when worn with a helmet.
Filter categories: Which lens for which weather?
The filter category (Cat or S) indicates how much light the lens allows through. The higher the number, the darker the lens. With the magnetic interchangeable system, you will have the right one for any weather.
| Category | Light transmission | Ideal for |
|---|---|---|
| Cat 0 | 80–100% | Night, fog, very diffused light |
| Katze 1 | 43–80% | Snowfall, clouds, flat light |
| Cat 2 | 18–43% | Changing conditions – the all-rounder |
| Cat 3 | 8–18% | Sun – the standard sunglasses |
| Cat 4 | 3–8% | Glaciers & High Mountains – not for driving |
Our tip: For most ski days, a Cat 2 or Cat 3 lens is sufficient. Pack a light lens (Cat 0–1) for snowfall and fog – the magnetic system allows you to swap it right at the lift.
Pop Eyes children's ski goggles
Smaller cut, suitable for children's helmets – and in colors that kids enjoy.
Glasses and helmet – they have to go together.
Ski goggles only fit correctly if they match your helmet: no gap on the forehead, no pressure on the nose, and the strap sits securely on the helmet. Pop Eye ski goggles are helmet-compatible and feature three silicone strips on the strap to prevent slipping.
It is best to try on the goggles and helmet together – at our shop in Flachau or at home, with a 90-day return policy. You can find our helmets directly in the shop.
Pop Eyes Sunglasses
From retro statement to sports glasses – sunglasses with character for après-ski, summer and city trips.

Buying ski goggles: what you should look for
Cylindrical or spherical lens?
Cylindrical lenses are only curved horizontally and appear flatter; spherical lenses are curved in both directions. Pop Eyes uses cylindrical double lenses made of polycarbonate – with a large field of view, anti-fog coating, and 100% UV protection.
Double lens to prevent fogging
There is an insulating layer of air between the two lenses. This means the inside fogs up significantly less often than with a single lens. Important: Never wipe the inside with your glove – this will destroy the anti-fog coating.
Ski goggles for glasses wearers
Pop Eyes ski goggles are built in an OTG (Over The Glasses) design and offer space for many prescription glasses. It is best to try the combination with your own glasses.
Ski goggles for children
Children's goggles like the JESS Kids have a smaller cut so that they fit well under a child's helmet and do not press on the nose. Make sure that there is no gap between the helmet and the goggles on the forehead – otherwise, you will get a cold draft and a red forehead.
Frequently Asked Questions about Pop Eyes
Where does Popeye come from?
Pop Eyes is a brand belonging to POP EYES GmbH from Eben im Pongau in the Salzburg region – just a few kilometers away from us in Flachau.
How does the magnetic exchange system work?
The lens is held to the frame by eight magnets. You simply pull it off and attach the new lens – it snaps in magnetically. It takes seconds, even with gloves on.
Which lens do I need for skiing?
For most days, a category 2 or 3 lens is ideal. In snow, fog, and flat light, a bright category 0 or 1 lens helps. With the magnetic system, you can switch depending on the weather.
Are Pop Eyes ski goggles suitable for people who wear glasses?
Yes, the ski goggles are designed as OTG (Over The Glasses) and offer space for many prescription glasses. It is best to try out the combination with your own glasses – completely risk-free thanks to our 90-day return policy.
Do Pop Eyes ski goggles fit every helmet?
The ski goggles are helmet-compatible and have an adjustable strap with three silicone strips. It is important that there is no gap between the helmet and the goggles on the forehead. If in doubt, we are happy to advise you.
What is a cylindrical double disk?
Cylindrical means that the lens is only curved horizontally. Double lens means that two lenses are installed with an insulating layer of air in between – this significantly reduces fogging.
Are there Pop Eyes for children too?
Yes. The JESS Kids is specially designed for children: cut smaller, fits child-sized helmets, and comes in cheerful colors.
How do I properly care for my ski goggles?
Never wipe the inside with a glove or tissue; instead, let it air dry – otherwise, the anti-fog coating will be damaged. To clean the outside, use the provided microfiber pouch and store the glasses inside it.
