You can find more about the brand on our page Nordica at Sport am Jet.

What do Infrared and 3D Cork offer at Nordica?
What do Infrared and 3D Cork offer at Nordica?
Both are Nordica technologies for a more precise fit. Infrared affects the shell, 3D Cork the inner shoe.
- Infrared shell: Targeted thinner zones in the shell can be shaped using heat, for example at the balls of the feet or ankles. The rest of the shell remains stiff for power transfer.
- 3D Cork inner shoe: Cork around the ankles and heel adapts to your foot and provides more heel hold.
- Warmth & insulation: Cork retains heat better than thin foam.
- Availability: Not every model has both technologies. Check the product description or ask us in the shop.
What size do I need for Nordica ski boots?
What size do I need for Nordica ski boots?
The Nordica ski boot size chart is also based on Mondopoint, which means the length of your foot in centimeters. EU and US sizes are for guidance only.
- Measuring: Measure both feet while standing. The longer foot is the one that counts.
- Half sizes: Often, two half sizes share the same shell, and the difference lies in the liner.
- Shell test: Without the liner, there should be about 1–2 fingers of space behind the heel.
- Trying them on: Put on both boots, close them, and bend your knees. Your heel must stay down.
Which flex is right for Nordica ski boots?
Which flex is right for Nordica ski boots?
Nordica includes the flex directly in the model name, for example 110 or 120. Women's models are usually slightly lower.
- Men's 80–100 / Women's 65–85: For beginners and recreational skiers who enjoy a relaxed ride.
- Men's 100–120 / Women's 85–105: For advanced skiers who confidently carve on all slopes.
- Men's 120+ / Women's 105+: For athletic skiers with speed and clean technique.
- Race: The Dobermann line goes significantly beyond this and is built for racing.
Nordica boots often feel a bit more direct due to their sturdy construction. If in doubt, go for the softer option.
Do Nordica ski boots have a GripWalk sole?
Do Nordica ski boots have a GripWalk sole?
Many Nordica ski boots feature a GripWalk sole, which gives you significantly more grip on your way to the lift. Race models, on the other hand, use the smooth alpine sole.
- Safety first: The rubberized profile with rocker slips less on ice and tiles.
- Binding: GripWalk requires a compatible or MNC binding.
- Alpine standard: The smooth sole fits into any alpine binding and provides maximum contact.
- Setup: If you buy your skis from us, we will set up the binding to your Nordica ski boot free of charge in Flachau.
